GOLDBERG VARIATIONS
Architecture of Time
A new recording of Johann Sebastian Bach’s
Goldberg Variations BWV 988.
An inquiry into music as a generative system,
where variation produces transformation
and coherence emerges through complexity in time.
Contemporary artist
and systems thinker
Morgan Icardi is an Italian orchestral conductor and pianist whose work is grounded in a research-oriented approach to musical interpretation. His practice engages with music as a dynamic and relational system, an articulated architecture in which form, variation, and internal coherence operate as generative principles of meaning.
Within this framework, interpretation is conceived as a critical and generative framework through which the complexity of the structures that constitute reality is explored and made perceptible in time.
